Use of Public Relations levy
A document on proposed uses by Lodges of the Grand Lodge Public Relations Levy is now with Lodge Secretaries.
It includes application forms which, in the first instance, come to the PRI Committee.
Lodge Secretaries around Tasmania are being sent copies of a document relating to a State-wide Public Relations Fund.
The document was prepared by the Grand Lodge Board of General Purposes, following a decision at the August 2003 Communication to establish the fund "to receive and apply moneys from Lodges and Brethren for the purpose of promoting, or advertising, Freemasonry".
The document details the method of collection of the moneys, and the ways in which the Public Relations Fund may be applied.
Lodges and individuals may submit to the Grand Secretary ideas on how the fund can be used, and these will then examined by Public Relations and Information Committee before it makes recommendations to the Board of General Purposes.
Pro-forma Request for Funds and Completion Reports are contained in the document being circulated
